Gov. Roy Cooper Re-Elected As North Carolina's Governor

Gov. Roy Cooper will continue to serve as North Carolina's Governor following a tight race against Lt. Gov. Dan Forest . The final results showed Cooper with 51% of the votes and Dan Forest coming up short with 47% of the votes.

During his victory speech in Raleigh Gov. Cooper said,"To the people of North Carolina, thank you so much for electing me as your governor for another four years. Serving in this office has been the honor of my life. I'm grateful and humble to the people who have trusted me to continue the progress we've already made here."
