My favorite moment from the CMA's.

Garth Brooks said exactly what I was feeling at the time I saw Kelsea Ballerini sing Homecoming Queen on the CMA's... "

It was my favorite moment... which lead to my 2nd favorite moment of the night. I like "Homecoming Queen" just fine, but last night I fell in love with it. Then Lindsay Ell walks up on stage with her guitar (I LOVE me some Lindsay Ell) and starts a version of Little Big Town's "Girl Crush." Then... out of nowhere it pans over to Runaway June, then Maddie & Tae, Ashley McBride, & Carly Pearce. It finally ends with Little Big Town who originally sang the song. They end theperformance in powerful fashion and by say (clipped of off the video below) "You're looking at the future of women in country music y'all!." If that's the case... the future is here. Those performances were LEGIT. I don't like to over exaggerate, but that was a breathtaking moment & is going down as one of my favorite moments (or two favorites) of the night. Bravo.

Bonus: Another great moment with Blake doing "God's Country." It won CMA for song of the year. #NotShocked
