"Old Town Road" the song that got kicked off the Country charts for not being "country enough" has become one of the biggest songs of the year but it's still not being accepted in the country community. Whiskey Riff shared a video of Cody Johnson performing a back to school bash in College Station, Texas. Johnson doesn't hold back his comments regarding the song "Old Town Road," he said “If that’s country music, I will line up after this show and kiss every last single one of y’all’s ass. Don’t be mad at me just because I’m standing for something. I ain’t saying it ain’t a good song, it’s a great song, but it’s not country music, call it what it is. Stand for something.”
The crowd clearly had the same feelings regarding the song as they cheered him on! The video continues his show performing hits from Country musics biggest legends.
