Fayetteville Couple Arrested for Shooting Emotional Support Dog

Marinna Rollins, 23, and her boyfriend Jarren Heng, 26, are facing felony charges after they shot an emotional support pitbull, beat him and buried him in a shallow grave - all while filming the entire thing.

Former soldier Rollins got Camboui from Cumberland County Animal Control in January of 2016 with her then husband. The dog, then named Huey, and was very attached to Rollins' husband, but when he was assigned to South Korea by the Army, she begged to keep him.

While he was away, she renamed him Camboui and got him certified as an emotional support dog for post-traumatic stress disorder after she medically retired from the Army in January 2017.

In April 2017, Rollins began posting to Facebook in an effort to rehome Camboui because she claimed he was too expensive to take care of.  On April 17, Rollins posted that she had a great last day with Cam and he was going to a new home.

That's when Rollins and Heng took the dog to a wooded area, tied him to a tree and shot him five times with a rifle.

In the graphic video, Heng is heard saying "let me hit him once" with both laughing. After shooting the dog, they dragged him to a shallow grave. Police also found pictures of them posing with Cam at the scene before he died and text messages talking about the shooting.

Rollins and Heng are both being held on a $25,000 bond each.

Video will not be posted here due to its intense graphic nature. The Justice for Cam Facebook page does have the videos, but we warn you they are extremely distressing.
