Sugarland singer Jennifer Nettles is working on a solo album that she says is about "re-creation" and "recreation."
In a blog on her website, Nettles explains that she is looking to do something different and wants to shake it up. She says that is why she is working on a solo project. Nettles explains, "In Sugarland I have learned more of both who I am and who I am not. Even with all of our success, I have had the deep desire to share other parts of myself."
Nettles is working with producer Rick Rubin on her solo project. Rubin has worked with vast range of musicians including Johnny Cash, The Avett Brothers, The Dixie Chicks, Metallica, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Jennifer Nettles is slow to actually describe what the album will sound like. Stay tuned.
